RESET has been strengthening strategic partnerships with a diverse network of national and international stakeholders, promoting high-impact social, environmental, and economic initiatives, particularly within rural agricultural communities in Mozambique. This collaborative approach is essential to foster sustainable growth and integrated development.
Key strategic partners include:
Mozambique Cotton Association (AAM): With over 142,000 producers, AAM is a central actor in rural development, managing five companies, nine cotton ginneries, and three oil factories, generating approximately 30,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Industrial Association of Mozambique (AIMO): Represents Mozambican industrial companies, promoting improved business conditions, market access, capacity building, and training.
Better Cotton Initiative (BCI): A global sustainability initiative in the cotton sector aimed at improving livelihoods and promoting environmental conservation through sustainable farming practices in cotton-producing communities.
Cotton Made in Africa (CmiA): An initiative of the Aid by Trade Foundation that supports sustainable cotton production in Africa, focusing on improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and implementing sustainability standards in the textile sector.
Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA): Represents the national private sector, fostering dialogue with the government to advance economic and regulatory reforms that support a competitive business environment.
National Forum of Cotton Producers (FONPA): A non-profit organization representing the interests of Mozambican cotton producers, organizing them into associations and cooperatives.
International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC): A global platform that promotes knowledge exchange, innovation, and partnerships within the cotton sector.
Multistakeholder Platform (MSP): A collaborative space bringing together government, NGOs, the private sector, and communities to coordinate efforts for sustainable development in northern Mozambique, fostering synergies and integrated development corridors.
These collaborations contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), reinforcing RESET’s commitment to ethics, transparency, and long-term impact.
