Technical Training and Capacity Building - Tools for Agricultural Transformation from JFS-RESET

JFS-RESET has been consolidating its impact on Mozambican agriculture through a firm commitment to continuous training, the development of technical and business skills, and the practical empowerment of farmers. Its commitment goes far beyond increasing productivity in the short term—it aims to prepare producers for a more sustainable, resilient, and economically promising future.

With the support of dedicated technicians and extension agents, farmers receive training in modern agricultural practices, sustainable farming methods, and rural business management. This lifelong learning model allows farmers to adapt to a constantly changing sector, master new tools, and consolidate their knowledge autonomously. To date, 27 training videos have been developed, and new initiatives are underway, such as digital applications with educational games (gamification) and biometric systems for recording attendance at training sessions, ensuring monitoring and active participation of beneficiaries.

But the impact of JFS-RESET goes even further. Beyond the technical aspect, it promotes financial education, agribusiness management, and market access strategies, creating a solid foundation for the economic development of rural families. This approach is reinforced by a direct community contact model, supported by a farmer support center that has already responded to more than 4,000 requests for assistance with practical advice and technical support. In parallel, a rural radio program, with 156 broadcasts, provides content on cotton, good agricultural practices, and extension services—in simple and accessible language, essential for reaching the most remote communities.

The integration of multiple pedagogical tools, technology adapted to the rural context, and close monitoring of farmers has allowed JFS-RESET to promote a true culture of continuous learning and agricultural innovation. By strengthening autonomy, technical literacy, and entrepreneurial spirit, the organization contributes to a structural transformation of the agricultural sector, where each farmer is also an agent of change for the sustainable development of Mozambique.
