JFS-RESET’s fleet and logistics capacity are the central backbone enabling the connection between agricultural production, efficient distribution, and retail access in rural areas. By integrating a robust logistics infrastructure with the João Agricultor community store network, JFS-RESET ensures that inputs, essential goods, and agricultural products flow in a seamless, inclusive, and sustainable way—strengthening local economies and bringing communities closer to markets.
This logistics network not only enables the delivery of inputs and production support materials but also facilitates the direct collection of agricultural output, particularly cotton. This reduces transportation costs for farmers and promotes circular value chains. The operation is coordinated through central warehouses and João Agricultor community stores, which serve as both distribution and retail points. Efficient movement of goods between logistics hubs, stores, and farming areas ensures greater availability of products at fair prices, fostering economic inclusion.
Each João Agricultor store benefits from this system through regular deliveries and the ability to place orders via a digital platform, supported by JFS-RESET’s logistics team. Transport routes are optimized based on store locations and agricultural seasons, ensuring efficient fleet utilization and reliable supply planning. This model significantly reduces physical and economic barriers to retail access in rural areas, enhancing supply security and building trust among local consumers.
Beyond supply distribution, the fleet also enables the flow of agricultural products from communities to collection and processing centers, allowing stores to function as purchasing points for local production. This bidirectional logistics system strengthens the economic sustainability of João stores by ensuring continuous product circulation, generating income for smallholder farmers, and reinforcing the role of stores as dynamic commercial hubs within their communities.
By combining technology, modern fleet management, and a logistics infrastructure tailored to Mozambique’s rural context, JFS-RESET has established an innovative, decentralized, and community-centered distribution model. The integration between the fleet and the João Agricultor network reinforces the vision of an inclusive, resilient, and efficient rural economy—where logistics evolves from a constraint into a driver of sustainable development and equitable access to markets.
