Agricultural Services Supporting Food Security
Since 2017, JFS-RESET has significantly expanded its technical and social support in the most vulnerable regions of northern Mozambique, providing food security services and livelihood support, both directly and through local organizations. By 2022, the program had directly benefited approximately 4,000 farmers, focusing on the Nacala corridor region.
The services provided included: seed selection, identification of appropriate crops, producer registration, technical training, and marketing support. In response to food emergency contexts, JFS-RESET has already extended this response to 3,000 farmers in crisis areas, providing seeds and inputs for food cultivation quickly and effectively.
These services are crucial for combating hunger and strengthening rural communities in the face of climate and economic shocks. Through integrated and evidence-based agricultural interventions, JFS-RESET continues to actively contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 2 – Zero Hunger, promoting resilient and inclusive agriculture in Mozambique.
RESET is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study is linked to several SDGs. The SDGs, also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
